We have recently published the Museu Nacional d\u2019Art de Catalunya\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.museunacional.cat\/en\/exhibitions-future\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">programme of exhibitions<\/a> for 2019. Here we are presenting the <strong>exhibitions that will be held outside the museum, as a result of collaboration with national and international cultural institutions<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<h3><em>Blue<\/em><\/h3>\n<p>This exhibition takes as its point of departure the short stories in the <strong>book by<\/strong> <strong>Rub\u00e9n Dar\u00edo, <\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Azul...\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong><em>Azul<\/em><\/strong><\/a><strong><em>,<\/em><\/strong> to propose a journey through all the shades of the colour that defined the <em>Modernista<\/em> movement.<\/p>\n<p>The show will feature, among others,<strong> Vincent Van Gogh, Santiago Rusi\u00f1ol, Joaquim Mir, Hermen Anglada-Camarasa, Ferdinand Hodler, Gustave Courbet, Mart\u00ed Alsina, Joaquin Torres-Garc\u00eda and Segundo de Chom\u00f3n<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Organized jointly by <a href=\"https:\/\/obrasociallacaixa.org\/es\/home\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">l\u2019Obra Social \u201cla Caixa<\/a>\u201d, the Museu Nacional d\u2019Art de Catalunya and the <a href=\"http:\/\/institutions.ville-geneve.ch\/fr\/mah\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Mus\u00e9es d\u2019Art et d\u2019Histoire de Gen\u00e8ve<\/a>, it will be on at Caixaforum in Seville, 1902<\/p><\/div>\n<p><strong>The Poetics of Emotion<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em>The Poetics of Emotion<\/em> <strong>reveals the power that, throughout history, art has had to move us.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>It will do so based on some essential names from the \u201dla Caixa\u201d Collection, such as\u00a0<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Bill_Viola\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Bill Viola<\/a><\/strong>,<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Shirin_Neshat\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"> Shirin Neshat<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>o\u00a0<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Esther_Ferrer\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Esther Ferrer<\/a>,\u00a0<\/strong>which will establish a dialogue with works from the Museu Nacional\u2019s collection, pieces of medieval and of modern art, along with numerous loans by other institutions.<\/p>\n<p>Organized by Obra Social \u201dla Caixa\u201d in collaboration with the Museu Nacional, it will be on at Caix<a (Dance at El Antiguo, San Sebasti\u00e1n)<\/em>,<\/a> 1888<\/p><\/div>\n<h3><em>The image of the artist\u2019s atelier<\/em><\/h3>\n<p><strong>Depicting the creative surroundings in which artists worked<\/strong>, a very common subject among nineteenth-century artists, is the objective of this exhibition to be held in the V\u00edctor Balaguer Museum Library in the autumn of 2019.<\/p>\n<p>The exhibition will include a selection of paintings, drawings, prints, photographs and posters, from public and private collections. Museu V\u00edctor Balaguer (Vilanova i la Geltr\u00fa)<\/p><\/div><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<h3><em>The city of artistic miracles<\/em><\/h3>\n<p>The Museu Nacional is collaborating in <strong>a major exhibition about Barcelona<\/strong> in the period of <em>Modernisme<\/em> that will be seen during 2019 in five museums and art galleries in Japan.<\/p>\n<p>The exhibition will be visiting Sapporo, Nagasaki, Himeji, Shizuoka and Tokyo, presenting about 120 works in all: paintings, sculptures, drawings, photographs, models, plans and objects that speak of the city\u2019s transformation and the extraordinary artistic effervescence that it experienced in the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries.<\/p>\n<p>The journey will begin in Nagasaki in April 2019 and will end in Tokyo in April 2020.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_14459\" style=\"width: 364px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><a href=\"https:\/\/blog.museunacional.cat\/wp-content\/uploads\/Interior-del-Moulin-de-la-Galette.jpg\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-14459\" class=\"wp-image-14459\" title=\"Ramon Casas.
