Do you feel like having a go?<\/p>\n<h3><a href=\"https:\/\/www.museunacional.cat\/en\/activities-museu-nacional-catalunya\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Christmas Games, concert given by the Orfe\u00f3 Catal\u00e0<\/a><\/h3>\n<p>On 17th December, the museum will be kicking off the Christmas festivities with this family concert, free of charge, interpreted by more than 100 singers from the 3 youngest choirs from the Escola Coral of the Orfe\u00f3 Catal\u00e0: the Cor Petits, the Cor Mitjans and the Cor Infantil.<\/p>\n<p>A selection of songs that will transport us to a universe in which childhood games and warm moments of happiness that we have with the children at Christmas, will be the protagonists.<\/p>\n<p><a The big banquet<\/a><\/h3>\n<p>The artist, textile designer and silk-screen printer Julia Pelletier\u00a0has designed a family workshop for these days of Christmas that will consist of a major installation inspired by the still lifes of the museum in which the families will work on the topic of food.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/blog.museunacional.cat\/wp-content\/uploads\/dessin-Mnac-OK-Julia-Pelletier.jpg\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" the starting point to create a drawn and volumetric meal and, at the end of the workshop, the participants will take away with them a souvenir-menu of this major feast of still lifes.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.museunacional.cat\/en\/medieval-christmas\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Medieval Christmas<\/a><\/h3>\n<p>On Saturdays 23rd and 30th December, coinciding with the time of free entrance to the museum, we will comment on the works of the collection of Romanesque and Gothic art with a Christmas theme: works which talk of Nativity, Epiphany and the Virgin rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Ramon Pichot. From the Quatre Gats to the Maison Rose<\/a><\/h4>\n<p>Until 21st January 2018, you can visit the exhibition dedicated to the artist <a href=\"https:\/\/www.museunacional.cat\/en\/advanced-piece-search\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Ramon Pichot<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Settled in Paris at the beginning of the 20th century,\u00a0<strong>Ramon Pichot lived in the bohemian and artistic environment of Montmartre<\/strong>. In Barcelona he had worked with Ramon Casas, Santiago Rusi\u00f1ol, Joaquim Mir and Isidre Nonell. He lived at the epicentre of the international art of the period, and was surrounded by notable figures from the Parisian cultural world, such as Pablo Picasso or Guillaume Apollinaire.<\/p>\n<h4><a href=\"https:\/\/www.museunacional.cat\/en\/entropic-box-collision-history-and-culture\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Francesc Torres. The entropic box [The museum of lost objects]<\/a><\/h4>\n<p>For this exhibition, the artist and curator\u00a0Francesc\u00a0Torres\u00a0has selected from the museum&#8217;s stores censored works of art which were censored, mutilated, hidden for political questions or destroyed for multiple reasons.<\/p>\n<p>The works have been presented in apparent disorder, in this exhibition that you canvisit until 14th January.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/blog.museunacional.cat\/wp-content\/uploads\/concurs-FT.jpg\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-11668\" src=\"https:\/\/blog.museunacional.cat\/wp-content\/uploads\/concurs-FT.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"620\" height=\"414\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blog.museunacional.cat\/wp-content\/uploads\/concurs-FT.jpg 1087w, https:\/\/blog.museunacional.cat\/wp-content\/uploads\/concurs-FT-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/blog.museunacional.cat\/wp-content\/uploads\/concurs-FT-768x513.jpg 768w, https:\/\/blog.museunacional.cat\/wp-content\/uploads\/concurs-FT-1024x684.jpg 1024w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 620px) 100vw, 620px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>If you like photos, you can participate in the contest in Instagram <a href=\"https:\/\/www.museunacional.cat\/en\/contests\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">#CapsaEntr\u00f2pica_concurs<\/a>, you can win a box-catalogue of the exhibition\u00a0#FrancescTorres\u00a0and annual passes to visit the museum as many times as you want!<\/p>\n<h4>The museum\u2019s collection<\/h4>\n<p>The museum counts on the most important collection of Catalan art in the world, from medieval art until the present day.\u00a0 In the Museu Nacional you can see the best collection of\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.museunacional.cat\/en\/collections\/medieval-romanesque-art\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Romanesque mural painting<\/a>\u00a0 and the most representative artists of\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.museunacional.cat\/en\/collections\/modern-art\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Catalan modernism<\/a>, such as, for example, Gaud\u00ed or Casas.
